Terms of use
Effective 1 November 2026
These terms apply to RigStop, made by RigStop. By using the app you agree to them. On the App Store, Apple's standard licence agreement also applies.
1. Information is a guide, not a guarantee
- Campground details can be wrong or out of date, including max vehicle length, prices, hookups, amenities, opening dates and locations. They come from public sources (Recreation.gov and OpenStreetMap contributors). "Length unknown" means no length is listed, not that your rig fits. Check with the campground before you go.
- Directions are an ordinary car route. RigStop's turn-by-turn guidance, trip routes and the maps app it opens are not checked for low bridges, height or weight limits, steep grades, or road conditions. You're responsible for your route and your vehicle's height, weight and length. Always follow road signs and local laws.
- Set up guidance before you drive. Don't handle your phone while driving.
2. Subscriptions
- Subscriptions are sold through the App Store and billed to your Apple ID. Prices and terms are shown before you buy.
- Yearly includes a free trial for new subscribers (the length is shown at purchase). During the trial, offline map downloads are limited to one state. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the yearly price is charged.
- Monthly and Trip Pass (weekly) are charged at purchase.
- All plans renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple.
3. Your reports
When you send a correction, you allow us to use it to improve the campground data, which we may share under the data's licences (including the Open Database License).
4. Map data and licences
Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL). Basemap by Protomaps. Federal campground data from Recreation.gov. RigStop's campground database is an ODbL derivative database and is available on request under the same licence: email support@rigstop.app.
5. Acceptable use
Don't reverse-engineer, scrape or resell the app or its data in bulk, or interfere with its operation (your rights under the ODbL in section 4 still apply).
6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is", without warranties. RigStop is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for damage to vehicles or property, arising from use of the app or reliance on its information or directions. Our total liability is limited to what you paid for the app in the 12 months before a claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and tell you in the app about significant changes.
8. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where RigStop is based, except where your local consumer law gives you more protection.
